Promoting Transgender Inclusivity in the College Setting

Oct. 11 is National Coming Out Day, when members of the LGBTQ+ community are encouraged to declare and affirm their true selves. As part of observing National Coming Out Day, we invite you to join the discussion regarding transgender rights and inclusivity by attending a Tri-C workshop next month.

This 90-minute workshop, offered twice in October, is presented by the LGBT Center of Cleveland. The workshop will promote transgender inclusivity on our campuses, with the goal of humanizing the transgender experience and framing equity and inclusion as a matter of respect and compassion for the College community.

The presentation will cover gender development and terminology and include reflective and scenario-based activities. In breakout sessions, participants will brainstorm ways they can become allies.
