Build a brain-based mindset to encourage safety, belonging, and resilience to engage, teach, and support students from classroom to graduation. A brain-based mindset implements trauma-informed principles by understanding the prevalence of trauma and how one's trauma history impacts brain function, cognitive processes, emotional regulation, attention, organization, and overall ability to be successful in and outside the classroom. When our students display disconnected, disrespectful, defensive or antagonistic behaviors, faculty often feel helpless to connect. Build a brain based mindset to create a new climate inside or outside the classroom and discover how increased connection increases student success.
