About this Event
How do you feel Artificial Intelligence (AI) is affecting you and your students? Some view AI as an existential threat to all of higher education; others see it as a critical piece of preparing students for tomorrow’s careers. Many faculty seem to be ambivalent, recognizing the potential for learning but very concerned about academic integrity and the educational process.
This session will first consist of a brief introduction of the College’s AI College-wide Task Force, which has been tasked with creating a statement of principle about AI, reviewing the College’s integrity/dishonesty policy and procedure, creating syllabus language for faculty to use, providing guidance to faculty about academic misconduct, and supporting faculty professionally thru development opportunities. We need the faculty voice to help inform this work.
The Task Force invites you to share your experiences with AI, your ideas for encouraging responsible use, and your practices that discourage cheating.
How is AI impacting your work here? Let’s talk.
