BAC Wellness Day
The Black American Council (BAC) invites you to stop by for our Wellness Day to participate in a variety of activities and meet with representatives to help manage and reduce stress levels.
*Faculty and staff welcome
We will feature the following:
Sound Therapy: Saterra Davis, creator of Soulful of Myself, will lead a sound bath — the ultimate experience for relaxation and a sense of peace. The experience varies for each person. Some of the most common experiences include color visuals, flashbacks, dreamlike visions, warm sensations and involuntary movements, which are energy moving throughout the body.
Each session will last about 20 minutes, with five minutes at the end dedicated to reflection. Participants should arrive promptly with a pillow, towel or yoga mat.
MCC 059 | 11:30 a.m., noon, 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.
Passion Project Health and Wellness: Owner and operator Tiera Cross, a licensed mental health and chemical dependency counselor, will discuss coping skills for stress management, methods for achieving work-life balance, self-care and the holistic healing approach of Reiki.
Line Dancing: Rashiadah Weaver, health and fitness instructor, BAC Mentee and the 2023 Metropolitan Campus Student of the Year, will teach line dancing and discuss its health benefits.
