To Kill a Mockingbird

Tri-C students will present this classic on the Ohio Theatre stage at Playhouse Square. Tri-C students will be performing both on stage and working behind the scenes to bring this production to life.

The story is set in 1935, with Scout and her brother, Jem, being raised by their widowed father, Atticus, and a strong-willed housekeeper, Calpurnia. Atticus’s legal defense of a young Negro wrongfully accused of a grave crime is raising tensions in the community. As race relations in the United States dominate today’s headlines, the play offers a timely exploration of a difficult topic and applauds the strength of those who fight injustice.
