October 10: C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien - Dr. Michael Ward, “C. S. Lewis on Reason and Imagination in Science and Religion”
The British authors and Oxford dons C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien were close friends as well as core members of a group of authors known as “the Inklings.” In Fall 2019, the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Humanities Center will host two of the world’s leading Inklings scholars, Dr. Holly Ordway and Dr. Michael Ward, for a series of events examining their intellectual legacy. Tri-C faculty, students and staff are welcome at all three events. We hope to see you there!
